Lip PMU – Pre & Post Care Guide

Before Your Appointment

Avoid the following:

No alcohol for 24 hours before
No coffee, green/black tea, or energy drinks on the day (decaf is ok)
No aspirin, ibuprofen, vitamin C, or blood thinners 48-72 hours before
No strong sun exposure or tanning for at least 3 days before

Cold Sore Prevention

If you’ve ever had cold sore:

Take antiviral tablets 2 days before and 5 days after your procedure (requires GP
prescription)
Or take L-Lysine 1000mg daily as a natural alternative – no prescription needed

Patch Test Information

A patch test is recommended at least a few hours before your appointment.

If you’re unable to attend in advance, you can sign a waiver on the day and proceed with

treatment.

However, if you have ever experienced:

Severe allergic reactions
Anaphylaxis
Swelling (e.g. angioedema / Quincke’s oedema)
Shortness of breath related to allergies

… then a patch test is required and cannot be skipped.

Pease Don’t Book If You:

Are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Have an active cold sore or infections on or around lips.
Are recovering from illness or have a weakened immune system.
If you’re currently taking antibiotics, a doctor’s clearance letter will be required.
If you have serious medical conditions, that may affect healing or increase the risk of
complications (e.g. uncontrolled diabetes, hepatitis, heart conditions, serious
autoimmune or immunodeficiency disorders).
No fish oil capsules for one month before treatment.

After Your Treatment

Your lips may feel swollen for the first few hours and remain slightly puffy for up to 3 days.

Dryness may continue for a couple of weeks – this is completely normal.

What to do:

Apply the aftercare balm 3-5 times daily using clean cotton buds
Keep lips clean, dry, and protected
Allow flaking to happen naturally – DO NOT PICK!

You don’t need time off work. Your lips will look like you’re wearing lipstick and will be fully presentable during healing.

The most possible sophistication is a cold sore (rare), which can usually be prevented with

Lysine or antiviral medication.

Avoid for 10-14 Days After:

NO sweating, gym workouts, or heavy exercise
NO saunas, steam rooms, or sunbeds
NO swimming or seaside holidays
NO lipstick, makeup, or skincare near the lips
NO spicy foods, hot drinks, or kissing (for the first few days)

Healing & Touch-Up

Lips will look brighter at first, the gradually soften and lighten
Colour settles fully within 4-6 weeks
A top-up session is recommended after 6 weeks to perfect the result

Consultation is essential for:

Dark Lips (melanin rich) may require a neutralising session first – we’ll advise during
consultation
If you’ve had PMU done elsewhere, please book a consultation first!
You’re booking a treatment for male lips!

Please note:

If you do not follow the aftercare instructions, it will be evident, and we reserve the right to

decline any further services.

Terms and Conditions

Please ensure you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions before booking.

By proceeding with your appointment, you agree to all policies outlined below.

Booking Fee

A non-refundable €50 booking fee is required to secure your appointment. For VIP
multi-area treatments (2-3 areas in one session), a 50% booking fee is required.
All booking fees are deductible from your final bill.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

A minimum of 72 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Less than 72 hours’ notice is given, the booking fee is forfeited.
No-shows are charged 50% of the treatment price.
Clients may reschedule their appointment a maximum of two times (original booking
+ two reschedules).
A €50 fee applies on the 3rd change, and future bookings may be refused or require
full payment upfront.
For VIP multi-area bookings, rescheduling within 2 weeks of the appointment may
incur a €150 fee per area due to extended time reserved.

Later Arrival

Clients arriving 15 minutes or more late may be refused treatment, and the booking
fee will be lost.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened session or rescheduling with a new booking
fee.

Pre-Treatment Requirements

Clients must follow all pre-care instructions, including avoiding alcohol, caffeine,
blood thinners, sun exposure, and other restricted substances or activities.
Any medical conditions or medications must be disclosed in advance.
If any contraindications are present on the day, the treatment will be refused, and the
booking fee will be lost.

Touch-Up Policy

A Top-Up session should ideally be booked between 4-12 weeks after the initial
procedure.
Under our Policy, Top-Ups are available for up to 6 months, but earlier sessions are
strongly recommended for best results.
Touch-Ups are not included in the initial treatment price and are charged separately.
Maintenance Touch-Ups after 6+ months are price accordingly.

Results Declaimer

Healed results vary depending on skin type, age, aftercare, overall health,
medications, lifestyle, etc.
No guarantees can be made regarding pigment retention or results.
Additional sessions may be needed in some cases and are charged separately.

Refusal of Service

The artist reserves the right to refuse or discontinue treatment if the client’s skin,
medical condition, or requested style is unsuitable, or outside the artist’s professional
judgment or aesthetic standards.
If a session is started but cannot be completed for any reason – including lack of
cooperation, communication issues, unsuitable skin conditions, emotional distress, or
undisclosed medical concerns – the full treatment fee may still apply to cover the
booked time, materials, and professional preparation.
All treatment decisions are made with client’s safety and long-term results in mind,
not personal preference.
PMU is delicate and artistic process – the skin responds to stress, and a calm,
comfortable atmosphere is essential. In cases where this is not possible, the
procedure may be respectfully ended to protect the best outcome.

Appointment Reminders

We do not send automatic appointment reminders. It is the client’s responsibility to
remember and attend the scheduled session on time.
Please make sure to add your appointment to your personal calendar or planner to
avoid missing it.

Payment Policy

Payment can be made by cash or bank transfer (bank details available upon
request).
Please let us know in advance if you wish to pay by transfer.
